# Sprint 4: Inducing network effects

To analyse value exchanges between interdependent actors, appreciate interconnected network effects and identify actions to increase and improve interactions.

Networks are everywhere, every system is a network. We need to deliberate what each key actor wants to get from and what they can give to the others (value exchange). Value exchanges, when increased and improved, induce network effects and create momentum such that the collective impact is greater than the sum of individual actions. But, there is a challenge. How to start the chain reaction, how to overcome the initial difficulty with adoption?

**Pre-requisite:** A strategy map with explanation of the for-with-leveraging-enabling layers

**Pre-requisite:** An updated version of the design document (SDA5) based on sprint 3 outputs

**Downloadable assets** that are useful for preparing for / facilitating this sprint:

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://wiki.societalthinking.org/how-to-apply/the-sprints/sprint-4-inducing-network-effects.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
